Thursday Giveaway – Humilitas
Since we’ve been discussing the sifting process God’s people undergo this week I thought Humilitas by John Dickson would be an excellent book to giveaway. Dickson describes humility in the video as “the noble ability to hold your power for the good of others, not for personal gain.” He later says that he believes humility is “the key to true greatness.”
All of us want to be great at what we do. I don’t mean to say that we are all arrogant, necessarily. I mean to say that even if we give all credit to God for our accomplishments, we still want to be good at whatever it is we’re doing for him. Most of us want to be great at it, not just good. So, how does humility, the act of holding our (God-given?) power, help us better minister to those around us?
